ACT 117 Architects Act 1967 An Act to provide for the registration of architects, sole proprietorships, partnerships and bodies corporate providing architectural consultancy services, interior designers and building draughtsmen and matters connected therewith.

ACT 120 Government Contracts Act 1949 An Act for the making of contracts on behalf of the Government, and the Governments of the States, and for matters connected therewith.

ACT 129 Geological Survey Act 1974 An Act to regulate and control geological surveys, to establish geological archives and to provide for matters incidental thereto.

ACT 207 Explosive Act 1957 An Act relating to the manufacture, use, sale, storage, transport, import and export of explosives.

ACT 231 Highway Authority Malaysia (Incorporation) Act 1980 An Act to establish the Highway Authority Malaysia to supervise and execute the design, construction, regulation, operation and maintenance of inter-urban highways, to impose and collect tolls, to enter into contracts and to provide for matters connected therewith.

ACT 242 Valuers, Appraisers and Estate Agents Act 1981 An Act to provide for the appointment of a Director General of Valuation and Property Services and for the registration of valuers, appraisers and estate agents and for matters connected therewith.

ACT 318 Strata Titles Act 1985* An Act to facilitate the subdivision of building or land into parcels, the disposition of titles and the collection of rent and for purposes connected therewith. WHEREAS it is desired to introduce in the form of a Strata Titles Act a uniform legislation within the States of Johore, Kedah, Kelantan, Malacca, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Penang, Perak, Perlis, Selangor, Terengganu and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, the Federal Territory of Putrajaya and Federal Territory of Labuan;

ACT 333 Road Transport Act 1987 An Act to make provision for the regulation of motor vehicles and of traffic on roads and other matters with respect to roads and vehicles thereon; to make provision for the protection of third parties against risks arising out of the use of motor vehicles; to make provision for the co-ordination and control of means of and facilities for transport; to make provision for the co-ordination and control of means of and facilities for construction and adaptation of motor vehicles; and to make provision for connected purposes. Section 1(3) This Act shall apply throughout Malaysia.

ACT 385 Land Conservation Act 1960 An Act relating to the conservation of hill land and the protection of soil from erosion and the inroad of silt.

ACT 416 Tolls (Road and Bridges) Act 1965* An Act to provide for the payment of tolls for the use of certain roads and bridges. Section 1(2) This Act shall apply to the States of Peninsular Malaysia only.

ACT 463 Railways Act 1991 An Act to make new provisions in the law relating to railways and for other matters connected therewith. Section 1(1) This Act may be cited as the Railways Act 1991 and shall apply to all railways in Sabah, Sarawak and the Federal Territory of Labuan.

ACT 474 Land Development Act 1956 An Act to provide for the establishment of a Federal development authority and local development boards to promote and carry out projects for land development and settlement, for making funds available therefor, and for purposes connected therewith. Section 1 (2) This Act shall apply throughout Malaysia.

ACT 486 Land Acquisition Act 1960 An Act relating to the acquisition of land, the assessment of compensation to be made on account of such acquisition, and other matters incidental thereto.

Section 2(1)

c) references to the **Commissioner shall be construed as references to the Federal Lands Commissioner;

(d) references to State land shall be construed as references to Federal land;

(e) references to the State land law shall be construed as references to the National Land Code as modified by the Federal territory (Modification of the National Land Code) Order, 1974; and

(f) references to the Government of the State shall be construed as references to the Government of the Federation.

ACT 538 Town Planners Act 1995 An Act to provide for the registration of Town Planners and for purposes connected therewith.

ACT 645 National Heritage Act 2005 An Act to provide for the conservation and preservation of National Heritage, natural heritage, tangible and intangible cultural heritage, underwater cultural heritage, treasure trove and for related matters.

ACT 689 Geologist Act 2008 An Act to establish the Board of Geologists and to provide for the registration of geologists, the regulation of geological practice and for related matters.

ACT 711 Whistleblower Protection Act 2010 An Act to combat corruption and other wrongdoings by encouraging and facilitating disclosures of improper conduct in the public and private sector, to protect persons making those disclosures from detrimental action, to provide for the matters disclosed to be investigated and dealt with and to provide for other matters connected therewith.

ACT 715 Land Public Transport Act 2010* An Act to provide for and regulate land public transport and for matters incidental thereto. Section 1(2) This Act applies to Peninsular Malaysia.

ACT 716 Wildlife Conservation Act 2010* An Act to provide for the protection and conservation of wildlife and for matters connected therewith. Section 2(1) This Act applies to Peninsular Malaysia and the Federal Territory of Labuan.

ACT 725 Renewable Energy Act 2011 An Act to provide for the establishment and implementation of a special tariff system to catalyse the generation of renewable energy and to provide for related matters.

ACT 726 Sustainable Energy Development Authority Act 2011 An Act to provide for the establishment of the Sustainable Energy Development Authority Malaysia and to provide for its functions and powers and for related matters.
