Project Planning and Control

Project Planning and Control is the most essential tool to ensure project progress is on track as planned and budgeted. The main philosophy for project planning and control under MCS is about realistic and pragmatic project control. MCS have been assisting many contractors in their strategic work program submission which incorporates contractual liabilities and responsibility for both parties parallel to the true intention of the contract. For larger projects or client with strong project management background, MCS assist in preparing the schedule basis memorandum as a term of reference for the derivation of manpower and time. The preparation of dossiers related to planning and control are not limited for post-tender phase where MCS can still render its service during the tendering stage by preparing appropriate project execution plan and work program for bidding purposes.

Work programs come in either MS Project format or Primavera P6 format which loaded with manpower, baselines, cost and time with systematic work breakdown system (WBS) and milestones summary. Aside from native project planning format, MCS will provide measuring sheets for periodical evaluation and plotted (physical and financial) s-curves.

MCS involved in assisting project management consultant to conduct recovery or catch-up plan by conducting appropriate analyses before implementing micromanagement to ensure appropriate manpower leverage and crashing. Among the parties who utilized this service are contractors and project management consultants in PETRONAS project (SOGT and SAMUR, Sabah).
